Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Since Loom handles your most private thoughts, our principles are simple: we don't sell your data, we protect it with industry standard security, and you can delete it anytime.

1. Information we collect

We collect account details such as your email, name, and optional profile photo. If you join the private beta waitlist, we store your email address, signup source, consent record, and eligibility for the promised lifetime launch discount. We store the journal text, live speech-to-text transcripts, chats, tasks, preferences, and insights you choose to create in Loom. During beta testing, feedback you submit may include ratings, bug details, feature ideas, reviews, app version, platform, and the account used to submit it. We also keep limited service data needed for security, reliability, subscriptions, and notifications.

Loom does not retain microphone recordings for journal transcription. Audio may be processed live by Google Gemini or sent to OpenAI for transcription when the fallback path is used. Loom deletes temporary audio after processing; the resulting transcript or session summary may be saved to your Loom history.

2. How we use your information

Your data is used to provide Loom. If you join the beta waitlist, we also use that email to manage tester invitations, request beta feedback, share relevant launch updates, and deliver your lifetime discount code. You can unsubscribe from those messages at any time. We do not use your personal entries for marketing, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information.

4. Deleting your data

In the app, open Account → Danger Zone. “Delete All Data” removes your Loom content and files while keeping your login and subscription. “Delete Account” cancels any active paid subscription and permanently removes your Loom content, files, account record, and Firebase login. These actions cannot be undone.

If you joined only the beta waitlist, email hello@loopmind.app from the address you submitted to ask us to remove it and its associated beta-perk record.

5. Third-party AI processing and your consent

AI-powered features require your express permission. If you consent, Loom sends the content needed to answer you to Google Gemini and, when a fallback is needed, OpenAI. Depending on the feature, this may include your journal entry, chat message, transcribed or live voice input, current-focus answer, and relevant prior summaries, tasks, open loops, or memories.

Google Gemini is Loom’s primary provider for journal analysis, conversational replies, and live voice. OpenAI may process content for fallback analysis or transcription. These providers process the content to create Loom’s analysis, replies, transcription, reframes, affirmations, and other personalized insights. Loom does not send personal content to third-party AI unless your AI-processing consent is active.

You can review or withdraw this permission at any time in Account → Privacy & AI. Withdrawing permission stops new content from being sent to third-party AI and disables AI-powered creation until you opt in again. It does not delete content already stored in your Loom account.

6. Other service providers

We use Firebase for authentication and notifications, and contracted providers for hosting, database and file storage, and payments. They process data only as needed to provide those services and under their own security and privacy commitments.
