What Loom collects

We collect account details such as your email, name, and optional profile photo. If you join the private beta list, we store your email, signup source, consent record, and founding-perk eligibility.

We store the journal text, transcripts, chats, tasks, preferences, and insights you choose to create. Limited service data helps us protect accounts, diagnose failures, and improve reliability. Product analytics exclude journal text, chat messages, prompts, transcripts, and email addresses.

On public website pages, our self-hosted Plausible Analytics measures aggregate page views, referral campaigns, device and browser type, and approximate location. It uses no cookies or persistent cross-day identifier and does not store raw IP addresses. It is not loaded in Loom’s signed-in dashboard or app, and it never receives form values or private Loom content.

Voice and AI processing

Loom does not retain microphone recordings used for journal transcription. Audio may be processed live by Google Gemini or sent to OpenAI for transcription when the fallback path is needed. Temporary audio is deleted after processing; the resulting transcript or session summary may be saved to your Loom history.

AI features require your express permission. When consent is active, Loom sends only the content needed to answer you to Google Gemini and, when needed, OpenAI. That may include your current entry and relevant prior summaries, tasks, open loops, or memories. Withdraw permission in Account → Privacy & AI to stop new AI processing.

How your information is used

Your data is used to provide Loom. Beta registration email is used to manage invitations, request feedback, share relevant launch updates, and deliver an eligible lifetime discount code. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, use your journal content for advertising, or use your private entries as marketing material.

Security and service providers

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. Firebase supports authentication and notifications; contracted providers support hosting, database and file storage. They process data only as needed to provide those services and under their own security and privacy commitments.

Deletion and your choices

In Loom, open Account → Danger Zone. Delete All Data removes your Loom content and files while keeping your login. Delete Account permanently removes your Loom content, files, account record, and Firebase login. These actions cannot be undone.

If you joined only the beta list, email toaryaprabhu@gmail.com from the address you submitted to request removal of that signup and its perk record.
